FAQ – Chosen IT Solutions

Question 1

What does Chosen IT Solutions do?

Accepted Answer

Chosen IT Solutions is an independent technology consulting and advisory firm. We help businesses simplify IT and telecom decisions, reduce costs, and improve performance. We compare solutions from 300+ providers and act as your trusted, vendor-neutral advisor — from strategy and sourcing through implementation and ongoing support.

Question 2

How is Chosen IT Solutions different from a regular IT vendor?

Accepted Answer

Unlike traditional vendors who represent a single provider, we are completely vendor-neutral. We work exclusively for you — not for any technology provider. That means our recommendations are based entirely on your business needs, not a sales quota or commission structure.

Question 3

What types of businesses do you work with?

Accepted Answer

We work with small to mid-sized businesses across a wide range of industries including healthcare, legal, finance, real estate, manufacturing, retail, and professional services. Whether you have a handful of employees or hundreds, if you rely on technology to run your business, we can help you make smarter decisions and reduce unnecessary costs.

Question 4

What services do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We cover a broad range of technology areas including cloud solutions, telecom and internet connectivity, cybersecurity, voice and unified communications (VoIP), network infrastructure, video surveillance, vendor management, and IT strategy and consulting.

Question 5

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Getting started is simple — just schedule a free consultation with our team. We'll learn about your current technology environment, discuss your business goals, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve performance. There's no obligation and no pressure.

Question 6

Is there a cost for your consulting services?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, our advisory and consulting services are provided at no direct cost to you. We are compensated by the technology providers when you choose a solution through us — similar to how an insurance broker works. This means you get expert, unbiased guidance without paying a consulting fee.

Question 7

How do you stay vendor-neutral if providers pay you?

Accepted Answer

Our compensation model is designed to eliminate bias. Because we work with 300+ providers across every category, we are never dependent on any single vendor's commission. Our business is built on long-term client relationships and referrals — which means our success depends entirely on recommending solutions that actually work for you.

Question 8

Can you help us reduce our current telecom and internet costs?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is one of the most common ways we deliver immediate value. We audit your current telecom and internet contracts, benchmark your pricing against current market rates, and identify where you are overpaying. Many clients see meaningful cost reductions within the first 90 days of working with us.

Question 9

What cloud platforms do you work with?

Accepted Answer

We work with all major cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and a wide range of cloud-managed service providers. Because we are vendor-neutral, we recommend the platform that best fits your workloads, budget, and team — not the one that pays the highest commission.

Question 10

Can you help us migrate to the cloud?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We guide businesses through every phase of cloud migration — from initial assessment and workload analysis to provider selection, migration planning, and post-migration optimization. We also help businesses that have already moved to the cloud but are overspending or underperforming.

Question 11

What cybersecurity services do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We help businesses assess their current security posture, identify gaps, and implement layered security solutions including endpoint detection and response (EDR), firewalls, SIEM platforms, security operations center (SOC) services, email security, and compliance readiness for frameworks like HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.

Question 12

How do I know if my business is at risk for a cyberattack?

Accepted Answer

Every business that uses technology is a potential target — regardless of size. Small and mid-sized businesses are increasingly targeted because they often have weaker defenses than large enterprises. We offer security assessments that identify your specific vulnerabilities and provide a clear, prioritized action plan.

Question 13

Can you help us set up VoIP or a new phone system?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We design and deploy VoIP and unified communications solutions tailored to your team size, locations, and workflow. We work with leading UCaaS platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom Phone, RingCentral, and many others — and we handle everything from number porting to call routing configuration.

Question 14

What is SD-WAN and do we need it?

Accepted Answer

SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) is a modern approach to connecting multiple office locations or remote workers over the internet — typically at a lower cost and with better performance than traditional MPLS circuits. Whether SD-WAN is right for your business depends on your locations, bandwidth needs, and budget. We can assess your current setup and make a recommendation.

Question 15

Do you manage vendor relationships on our behalf?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One of our most valued services is vendor management — acting as your single point of contact for all technology providers. We handle contract renewals, escalations, billing disputes, performance issues, and ongoing accountability so your team doesn't have to chase down multiple vendors.

Question 16

Can you help with video surveillance for our office or facilities?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We design and deploy IP-based video surveillance systems for offices, retail locations, warehouses, and multi-site environments. Solutions include cloud-based and on-premise storage, remote monitoring access, and integration with access control systems.

Question 17

How long does it typically take to see results?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the scope of work, but many clients see tangible results quickly. Telecom cost reductions can often be identified within the first few weeks. Cloud and network projects typically have a 30–90 day implementation timeline. Strategic consulting engagements are ongoing and deliver value continuously as your technology environment evolves.

Question 18

Do you provide ongoing support after a solution is implemented?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We stay involved after implementation to ensure solutions are performing as expected, vendors are delivering on their commitments, and your technology continues to align with your business goals. We are a long-term partner, not a one-time transaction.
